Bill Hagerty

Bill is a founder and Managing Director of Hagerty Peterson & Company, LLC, a private equity investment firm. Throughout his career, he has served in an executive capacity and on the boards of several publicly traded and privately held corporations.

Prior to founding Hagerty Peterson, Bill was affiliated with Trident Capital, L.P., a private equity investment firm. He conducted the initial due diligence and co-invested with Trident in the popular Internet site, Mapquest. Bill is also affiliated with Ultra Stores, the nation’s seventh largest jeweler; where he served as COO and CFO in 2003 and remains a member of the Board of Directors. He has served on the Boards of Birch Telecom, one of the nation’s largest competitive exchange carriers; CyMed, Inc. as Co-Chairman of the nations’ third largest medical records company; NEW Customer Services Company, as Vice-Chairman of the nation’s largest warranty administrator; and as Vice-Chairman the Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington DC. Bill served until early 2007 as Co-CEO of Powerway, Inc., a global supply chain management software company with offices worldwide, including in China, where the company recently expanded.

Bill also served as National Finance Chairman to Governor Mitt Romney during his 2008 Presidential Campaign and was in the White House as Chief Economist of the President’s Council on Competitiveness during the first Bush administration.

Bill attended Vanderbilt University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Economics. A member of the New York bar, he attended Vanderbilt Law School as a Wilson Scholar and was elected to the Law Review where he served as Associate Editor.
