Jim Brown
Jim is the Managing Partner of Long Ridge Equity Partners, a private equity fund focused on growth equity investments in the financial services sector. Prior to founding Long Ridge, Jim was a Managing Director at TH Lee Putnam Ventures where he continues to oversee the firm’s investment strategy in financial services.
Before joining TH Lee Putnam Ventures, Jim served as a Senior Vice President at GE Equity, where he was responsible for strategic and financial investments in Internet, e-commerce, consumer services, and media and entertainment companies. Prior to GE he was with Lehman Brothers and Bain & Company. He began his career in the media industry, serving two years with A.C. Nielsen in research and two years in marketing with CBS Television Network.
Jim received an M.B.A. with Honors from the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Marketing and Decision Sciences with Honors from New York University.
