Ken Cron

Currently, Mr. Cron is President of Structured Portfolio Management, LLC (SPM), a $1 billion plus mortgage-backed security hedge fund in Stamford, CT. He is also a member of SPM’s Executive Committee and is responsible for the overall management, direction and strategy for SPM. Mr. Cron has held a variety of leadership & investment positions in Public and Private Companies spanning a 25-year career devoted to building and growing businesses.

From June 2004 to December 2007, Mr. Cron served as non-executive Chairman of Midway Games, a NYSE company and leading producer of sports and entertainment titles for the home console game market. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Cron was a Director of CA, Inc. (Computer Associates). In April 2004, Cron was named Interim CEO. As CEO, Mr. Cron moved quickly to stabilize the company and restore momentum. From 2001 to 2004 Mr. Cron was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games), a subsidiary of Vivendi Universal, engaged in the business of creating and distributing interactive entertainment software. Mr. Cron was named CEO of VU Games after serving as CEO of the Flipside Network, now part of Vivendi Universal Net (VUNet), from March through June 2001. Prior to leading Flipside, he was Chairman and CEO of Uproar Inc. from September 1999 until its acquisition by Vivendi Universal’s Flipside Inc. in March 2001. Prior to joining Uproar, Mr. Cron spent over 20 years at CMP Media, from 1978 to 1999. Under his leadership, CMP grew from an information technology trade publishing company into a global, publicly traded media conglomerate. Mr. Cron has a BA from the University of Colorado – Boulder.
