Fred is the Founder and Managing Partner of Five Elms. Fred is also the Founder and Chairman of SVG, a +1,000 person digital health insurance platform in the senior healthcare market with more than $300M in revenues.
Before founding both Five Elms and SVG in 2006, Fred was a senior investment professional with TH Lee Putnam Ventures, a $1.1 billion private equity firm focused on software-enabled businesses.
Prior to TH Lee Putnam, Fred was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in its New York headquarters. At Morgan Stanley, he helped technology-driven companies access the public equity and high-yield markets and later advised large corporates in the firm’s mergers & acquisitions department. Fred began his career in asset management with Citibank Asset Management in London. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas where he serves on the Board of Advisors for the School of Business. Fred is also a Trustee for at the Pembroke Hill School Endorsement and the Children’s Mercy Hospital Endowment.
Fred spends most of his free time with his wife and three teenage children traveling, snow skiing, swimming, diving, and biking.
